Another slack period due to ongoing plumbing/building & xmas/new-year hangovers etc. But a few shoots have happened despite all that the weather & festive kidney failure could throw at us ;-) And the lovely people of Obscure Couture lent us swish clothes too – which always adds a bit of glamour, despite the below-zero temperatures! Lots of shoots planned in February though – so looking forward to the rest of the year being a bit more steady & productive than 2011 turned out to be!

Yes, lazy again – another multi-shoot update. I’ve been slacking off of late though (and had plumbing problems which affected my time free to shoot) (and which isn’t a euphemism). So! A few pictures to show I have actually been doing the odd thing here and there.

I remember my parents having a Polaroid instant camera when I was a kid – and I remember the magic of taking a picture and seeing it appear before your very eyes! I know, I know – but it was the 70′s! It was either that or watch ‘The Good Old Days’ on the telly ;-) When I recently picked up a Polaroid camera of my own and some film from The Impossible Project I was a bit excited ;-)
I’m also a huge admirer of David Sams and his Polaroid work so I was looking forward to seeing how badly I could do in comparison ;-) Luckily for me, the film is really erratic and gives strange unpredictable results – so pretty much perfect really ;-) I hope they never get it ‘right’ ;-)
Anyway – I’ve only done a few shots with it, but a few of the first ones are below. It’s fun – even if it’s only me that likes the outcomes ;-)

The delightful Obscure Couture are up for a fashion award in June at the Scottish Fashion Awards! Jenn & Lyndsay are two of the most lovely people you could ever hope to meet – creative, talented, vibrant, exciting – and of course beautiful, graceful and elegant. Mostly ;-). I’ve been lucky enough to work with them a few times and especially go on a couple of photographic adventures with Lyndsay to scout locations for shoots while we jigged along to PJ Harvey on the stereo and ate “oh so tasty” motorway service-station food ;-) Happy days :-)
It’s always so wonderful to see people you know do so well – and especially when you’ve seen the hours and hours of work they’ve put in. So double-triple-quadruple good luck! With jam on top! :-)
